Join us for an identification session of the pollinators present in the gardens of Luxembourg! We will learn together how to recognize pollinators and how to support them at our level.

During this morning, we will observe the diversity of pollinating insects (bees, wasps, hoverflies…), and mainly butterflies. With the help of nets, we will be able to capture them while we look at them and study them. In connection with the participatory research program Polynatur and in order to enrich the knowledge of pollinators in Luxembourg, the observations will then be recorded on the application iNaturalist.lu.

While identifying the insects, we will discuss their way of life (food, habitat, etc.) and their essential roles in the garden.

We will then propose a friendly picnic to discuss pollinator-friendly practices that can be implemented in the garden.

The event will take place in the Bascharage community garden. It is accessible to everyone. Children are also welcome and will be provided with appropriate activities at the same time.
