Piazza garden (Bâtiment 4)

The garden in Bâtiment 4 took root through the F.U.T.U.R.E. project in the framework of Esch22. During this year, the following were built: a greenhouse, wicking-beds, growing boxes, an aromatic spiral, a small fountain. The garden is on polluted soil due to its location on a former Arcelor Mital site. Soil analyses have been carried out. This involves growing crops in tubs.

This year, 2023, is a new stage, and those who wish to join the garden are free to do so. A small group was formed at the beginning of January 2023 and we are starting the maintenance, the future development and the cultivation.

You can of course come and visit the garden. And in particular its wicking-beds, which are growing boxes with an integrated water reserve allowing to space out the watering, especially in summer, and to reduce evaporation.
